Merlot

Wine obtained from Merlot grapes, which thrive in the climate and soil of Nimis and Torlano, resulting in a well-structured yet soft and elegant wine.

Harvesting is done manually in crates, as late as possible to obtain the maximum degree of grape ripeness. Fermentation takes place in vats of different sizes for about 8/10 days, with frequent daily pumping over. The subsequent aging takes place in French oak tonneaux for at least 18 months, followed by 6 months in bottle.

The result is a soft and elegant wine, yet powerful and persistent, with aromas of undergrowth, spicy, tannic and velvety notes.

The ideal pairings for this wine are game, feathered game and red beef, as well as the excellent Friulian cured meats and cheeses.

To be consumed at an optimal temperature between 18 and 20°C, it is a wine that will give great satisfaction even after a long aging.
